Please follow these guidelines for preparing art to be submitted for your project.
DELIVERY:
Your files may be uploaded to our server after being compressed in either a .zip file or a stuffit (mac) file.
Please click here for a PDF file with our FTP information.
FILE FORMAT:
We accept most file formats. We prefer (but are not limited to) PDF, TIF, TIFF, PSD, EPS, AI, JPG, Quark Express, and INDD
Note: Please "package" all indesign files.
RESOLUTION:
All files must have a minimum resolution of 300 dpi (dots per inch). We will gladly accept higher resolutions as well.
Please avoid any images obtained from the web. These are usually only 72 dpi and are not suitable for printing.
COLOR MODE:
All files/images must be provided in CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, black) color mode.
Please provide all Black and White files/images in greyscale color mode.
Note: Pantone color selections are available (and advised) for solid color inks used on the disc label.
BLEED:
Please add 6 mm (0.236 inches) to your final sized image. (3 mm (0.118 inches) per side)
Example: Our standard jewel case insert is 121 mm wide by 120 mm high when finished. Your submitted file should be 127 mm wide by 126 mm high.
No information, other than background image/color, should be in the bleed area. It will be cut off.
This is laid out for you in our downloadable templates.
SAFE ZONE:
There may be slight shifting in the finishing process. We suggest that all critical elements be kept at least 3 mm (0.118 inches) from the final cut line (finished edge).
FONTS:
Please attach all fonts used in your project in a separate zip file, or...
a. Fonts can be embedded in PDF files.
b. Fonts can be outlined or converted to paths or curves in EPS files.
c. Indesign files can be packaged to include fonts.
d. Quark Express: Fonts and images must be included with all files submitted.
DISC LABEL ART:
Please submit all disc art as a solid image with no knock out (center hole) present.
All previously mentioned color and resolution standards apply to the disc label as well.
Pantone color selections are available (and advised) for solid color inks used on the disc label. (Replicated discs only)
Our templates have guides showing the print area of our various label printing options.
